Drove the I-90 west from Mitchell, SD to the Badlands National Park and then on to Rapid City and Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Mountain before arriving in Deadwood about 7:00PM.
Amazing scenery everywhere we went. The Badlands are a really different terrain when compared to the miles and miles of prairie that we drove through.
Mount Rushmore was as expected, awesome. and Crazy Horse Mountain was neat. Although it is only partially completed. Tomorrow we walk around deadwood and do the tourist thing. It is a western gold rush town made famous by Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane who are buried there and The Deadwood HBO mini-series.
