Today we went to Solvang for the day. We started out at the mission Santa Inez and then the town of Solvang. The mission was established in 1804 by the Capuchin fathers from Spain and the church is the original Adobe Church built by the Indians at the mission. We attended mass there and I took few pictures. After that we walked around Solvang and had lunch in a local dinner. Solvang is a reproduction of a Danish town completed with Hans Christian Anderson Museum and Danish bakeries. All of the buildings are modeled after the old Danish architecture and the village is quite the visitor attraction. The place was mobbed with tourists (us included). Solvang is the county seat for the Santa Inez valley and is loaded with wine vineyards and wine tasting venues. We did not indulge in the wine tasting this time. I took a lot of pictures.
